Hi. What is your name? Is your stage name different from your real name? If yeah, how did you come about it?

Hi, thank you. My name is Hassan Moshood Olamide and yeah, my real name is different from my stage name. I came about Olly Max by a fellow brother (Blessing) who was like a brother and a friend to me. I also answer Lima and I’d like to say that’s like a gift from God and it means ‘The Star Beside The Moon’ in Arabic.

Who inspired you to make music?

A friend.

How was it like coming up? The struggles and all

No lies, the survival of coming up was hard based on the fact that things were not balanced for my parents but God made it possible for me to be where I am today and the sky is my starting point.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I’d say my music is sometimes inspirational. Sometimes, I’m trying to communicate with my listeners not to give up on whatever they believe in and to always keep the hope alive. And sometimes, it’s just about the vibe. You know now (lol)

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Big Wiz

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

I would be on the track of becoming a registered land surveyor by now. I’m a survey technician, and I was on the process of getting licenced and registered by going to study more. But I had to take a pause to focus more on my musical career. What is worth doing, they say is worth doing well. I will also happily embrace every opportunity I have to study more.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

It really impacted a lot because it makes music go viral across the world.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
I was told to keep moving on that my best is yet to come.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I’ll make sure there’s love in the music industry.

Who would you like to work with in the industry? Producers, Directors among a host of others

I’d like to work with Pheelz Mr Producer and Don Jazzy.

What’s next for you?

I have a few projects coming on the way and people should expect something huge before this year ends.
