Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Ander Herrera has named teammate, Lionel Messi as the greatest player of all time (GOAT).
Herrera said he admired Messi even more, praising the Argentinian’s abilities and professionalism.
“He [Messi] is asked to score 50 goals per season. From there, if he doesn’t get them, people talk. We must also not forget that Leo has had the all-time record in Ligue 1: he hit the post ten times last season! If he had scored ten more goals, it would be a very good season for Leo,” Herrera told AS.
He added, “But for me, he is the best of all time, without any argument. Now I admire him even more for how he manages his day-to-day life with total humility, always with a smile for people.”
Messi left Barcelona last summer to join PSG.
The 34-year-old managed 11 goals and 15 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions last season.
